About Redgum Retreat Dwellingup
Redgum Retreat is located in the beautiful timber town of Dwellingup, just over an hour south east of Perth. Sharing the same property as The Wine Tree Cidery, the Retreat sits alongside the Bibbulmun track, less than a kilometre from town, overlooking the orchard and surrounding state forest.
Redgum Retreat is a magnificent rammed earth building showcasing local Jarrah and Marri (Redgum) timbers and comfortably accommodates groups of up to 18 people.
Why Stay at Redgum Retreat Dwellingup
Redgum Retreat was purpose built in 2012 to accommodate small social groups and is particularly suited to craft clubs, such as quilters and scrapbookers. It has eight bedrooms (6 x twin, 2 x triple), each with an ensuite, and a large common room with adjoining kitchen. Groups can self cater or be pampered by local, affiliated caterers.
It’s a very good value-for-money way of accommodating a lot of your friends/family and getting a space big enough to be together. A generous check-in/check-out policy (worst case of midday arrivals and 2pm departures) coupled with the proximity to Perth and the South West makes it easy to visit and to get the most from your stay.
For guests interested in a brief change of scenery during their stay, it’s only a 2-minute walk to The Wine Tree Cidery for some locally produced refreshment, or a 15-minute walk along the Bibbulmun Track into the centre of Dwellingup town.
Dwellingup is a great place to visit, all year around. Even the height of summer is tempered by Dwellingup’s cool nights, and those frosty winter days are made marvellous by cranking up the wood fire. The many deciduous trees on the property are a great highlight of the changing seasons and a wonderful contrast to the surrounding ever-green forest. Being a hub for all manner of trails activities such as walking, mountain biking and horse riding, Dwellingup has many attractions that cater well to the needs of visitors to the region.
